GPT 5 responds with report back when done

Describe the Bug

When given a bigger tasks and using GPT 5 it will tell the user that it has started and will inform me when done and then the thread ends. I assume its trying to use a feature that is only compatible in the GPT interface and cursor does not support that.

Steps to Reproduce

Thats a hard one, for me I cant always reproduce it but one way I found work occasionally is to give it a longer task or direct it to get back to me when done.

Expected Behavior

The thread should continue as with any other request.

Does this stop you from using Cursor

No - Cursor works, but with this issue

hi @Phillip_Loacker and thank you for the bug report.

Could you post a Request ID with privacy disabled so we can look into the details? Cursor – Getting a Request ID

Hey Condor, since I am a enterprise member I cant disable that, but I also noticed deep seek does that quite often too, give it a larger task and it might then say ill get right to it and then stop the thread.
