With the current model-picker layout some users are seeing, when Grok 4.5 is selected the closed control shows just the effort/speed setting (e.g. High / High Fast) rather than repeating the model name. Other models still show name + effort…

@mohitjain , can you elaborate on the motivation for this behavior? For the record, I’ve been using Grok 4.5 recently, and think it’s a good model, but believe that informing the user about the model they’re using is valuable.

Grok works well. It is still a cost and CO2 intensive model. So why use Grok when GPT terra can do the work as well?

I think this is intentional, meaning Cursor uses Grok 4.5 as the default model.

Can't see what model I'm using anymore. This can't be feature!
