Product: Grok Bot (it is not in the product list, so I picked Other). Please add an option for Grok Bot to speak its replies out loud (text to speech), with a simple on/off switch and a choice of voice. With other assistants I have replies read out loud to me, and I would like the same here. Reading every Grok Bot reply on screen is slow and tiring for me. It would help to have Grok Bot read each new reply aloud automatically, with a pause or stop button, and ideally the same for the messages it shows me when it wakes up from a webhook. A spoken reply would also be useful when I am away from the screen.
Hey, thanks for the feature request. Some of this is already in Grok Bot.
If you ask the bot to send the answer as a voice message, for example, “read that to me as a voice note”, it replies with audio right in the chat. You can play it, pause it, and speed it up. It uses the bot’s selected voice, which you can change in its voice settings.
There’s also Voice Mode. You can talk to the bot by voice and hear its replies if that format is easier. To have both options available, update the app to the latest version.
What’s not available yet is a toggle that automatically reads out every new reply, including messages the bot sends via webhook-wake. I’ll keep the thread open so other users who want this can upvote.
