Early on October 17, your computer was replaced automatically while computers were being moved to a newer version. Nothing you did triggered it. Your computer hadn’t been able to save its backup for a while, and the replacement went ahead without first saving your latest files, so the new computer was restored from a much older copy.
The restore has finished, so the missing files aren’t on their way. What’s on the computer now is everything that came back.
We’ve since fixed this on our side: a computer is no longer replaced automatically unless its latest files have been saved first.
