Grok Bot: deleting a bot is one click and permanent — need deactivate / recover

Feature request for product/service

– Other –

Describe the request

I just created a bot and deleted it.

Create is one click. Fine.

Delete is also one click. No backup. No real second confirmation. No option to deactivate or archive instead. The bot, its transcript, its memory, and its workflows are gone.

Easy loss of hard-built work at best. A safety hazard at worst.

Cloud / background agents in this product already treat Archive as the default so you cannot accidentally lose a session. Grok Bots should get the same protection, not the opposite.

I want:

  1. Deactivate / hide / archive as the default action (bot, memory, routines, and transcript survive; I can restore).
  2. Permanent delete only behind a hard confirm (type the bot name, or a second step that says this cannot be undone).
  3. A short recover window after delete, or an export/backup before delete.

Early beta. Grok Bot.

Operating System (if it applies)

MacOS

Hey @GrokUser841719

Thanks for the feedback!

Bot archival is something that has been requested internally and we’re looking into it!

The flow for deleting a bot does make it clear that it cannot be undone. We’ll keep listening for more feedback on this.
