Describe the request

When a bot writes a message and then edits or deletes it, there is no trail. No “edited” label. No delete tombstone. The last version is the only version.

Trust is the product. WhatsApp and iMessage show when a message was edited. A silent edit or delete is a danger.

I want:

  1. An “edited” mark on any changed message, with a way to see the prior text.
  2. Deletes that leave a visible tombstone (or are not allowed for bot messages).
  3. This for bot messages and human messages.
