Grok Bot incompetent today

Grok Bot

Describe the Bug

Seems like the general performance of Grok Bot today is off significantly, up until today it helped me with my day job seamlessly, but today its refusing to follow the instructions we set up, constantly refreshing it’s window before finishing work wasting time, and refusing to follow instructions, some croaking about this also on reddit but wondering if performance wise Grok is totally crapping the bed today for anyone else

Does this stop you from using Cursor

No - Cursor works, but with this issue

Hey @Raymond_Weiss, thanks for flagging this, and sorry it’s slowing you down.

The “refreshing before it finishes” is the bot restarting its computer helper: every new message you send while it’s mid-task makes it stop and start over, so it never gets far (and ends up looking like it’s ignoring instructions). A lot of messages went in quick succession today, which would cause exactly this.

Try this: put the whole task in one message with a clear finish line (“…and tell me when it’s saved”), then don’t send anything else until it says it’s done, even if it seems slow.

If it still ignores your instructions on a single message, reply with the bot’s name, the time you sent it (with timezone), and which instruction it skipped, and I’ll dig into that exact run. This isn’t anything on your end, and it’s behavior we’re already tracking.
