Grok Bot iPhone App broken

I had been using the Grok Bot iPhone app just fine for the first few days since release, then today it’s been completely broken all day.

The desktop app on my PC works fine, but the iPhone app won’t get passed this spinning screen? I’ve deleted the app 10x, reset my phone, logged out of all devices on Cursors website to kill all sessions… nothing has helped me. Someone please.

Same thing here. The Grok Bot iPhone app sticks on the spinner and never gets past it. Desktop / this chat works. Reinstall did not help. We also opened ticket T-E85632 with Cursor support on 15 Aug.

I am having the same problem (continuously running spinner).
I’m experiencing this on both my iPhone and iPad.
I’ll also add that I do not have “Block All Cookies” on from my Safari settings in iOS.

Hey all!

Thanks for the reports. We’re aware of an issue where Grok Bot for iOS fails to time out while booting, and the app never gets past the spinner!

We’re shipping a fix which is due out in the app store in the next few days. In the meantime, you might want to retry on a different network (including toggling Wi-Fi ↔ cellular) and also restart Grok’s computer from the working desktop app.

I’ve tried on 5G and restarted Grok’s computer, no luck.

I’m also seeing this problem with version 1.2 of the iOS app that was released today.

Deleted again and updated to 1.2, same issue, but instead of the endless spinner I get the grok bot avatar this time.

Keep an eye out for 1.3 in the coming days, where we expect this to be fixed!

I’m so frustrated, I appreciate the responses and the hope that this will be fixed… but for $200 and for this to be down for a week, I feel I should get some sort of credits applied to my account at minimum. I really loved the product and can’t wait to access it again, but I can’t help but feel like I’m not getting functionality I’m paying a lot of money for.

Hey all,

We do expect these issues to be resolved now in the latest versions of Grok Bot for iOS. Please let us know if you’re still running into an issue here.
