Grokbot stuck on “Retrying…”
Grokbots is showing a connection error and won’t recover.
What’s on screen:

Right pane is stuck on Starting desktop screen
A message I sent is marked Sent while offline

Does this stop you from using Cursor

No - Cursor works, but with this issue

This is Happening to me as well, has anyone found a fix? Or do we just wait for it to connect to the computer again?

Mine is just stuck at the reconnecting, it eventually says couldn’t reach grok bots computer and you can try to recover it but nothing works

Mine has been stuck for 2 days. then I logged out and back in, it worked.. but all my bots were gone. I didn’t do anything new, waited 20 minutes, and now GrokBot just crashed.

Hey both, quick update from our side.

@Jacob_Turner, your Grok Bot computer had genuinely stopped responding on our side, and the Recover you triggered early this morning rebuilt it. Since about 5:30 UTC today it has been connecting normally, so you should be back up. If the app still shows Retrying, a full quit and relaunch should clear it. If it doesn’t, please open a new thread since @Soumya’s issue appears to be different!

@Soumya, your computer is healthy on our side, but requests from your PC to it are timing out on the way, which usually points to something on the local network (a VPN, DNS filtering, or a proxy that holds back streaming connections).

Could you try two things?

  1. If possible, launch Grok Bot once on a phone hotspot (with any VPN or filtering turned off) and let us know if it connects there.
  2. Tell us a bit about your network setup: WiFi or wired, and whether a VPN, ad-blocker, or DNS-filtering app is running on the PC or the router. If there is one, does turning it off change anything?

Your app automatically reports connection health to us, so once you have tried the hotspot we can compare both runs from our side and pinpoint where it breaks!

I keep getting this for my Chief of Staff BOT

@Ankur_Singla feel free to raise a new thread!
