I ran out of quota on both bars this month less than a week ago. After that, I could still use auto mode until today. I’ve read that is intended behavior but is not assured to happen.
Is there a similar way or any chance to use models without expending more, any models. Before the reset? I don’t see the option, and I believe there isn’t, but any low-priority mode, really slow mode, or anything similar would be of help. Thanks
What you saw is how it’s meant to work. Once both usage bars hit 100%, Pro plans get a limited amount of extra, slower Auto usage for the rest of the billing cycle. It’s a fixed amount, not unlimited, so it ends at some point, and for your account that happened today. It’s a courtesy on top of the plan, which is why it isn’t guaranteed.
After that there isn’t a free low-priority or slow mode for Agent or Chat. Your options until the reset are:
Turn on On-Demand Usage with a small spend limit at cursor.com/dashboard (Settings > On-Demand Usage), so you only pay for what you use, up to the cap you set.
Wait for your billing cycle to renew. Your included usage resets then, and the renewal date is shown on the same dashboard.
