What happens after the auto mode limit is exceeded? Can auto mode still be used?

Hey, thanks for the question.

When your Auto + Composer usage hits 100%, you’ll get a notification in the editor. Then you’ve got two options:

  1. Enable on-demand usage. This lets you keep using Auto and everything else pay-as-you-go at API rates with no markup. You can set a spend limit so you don’t go over what you’re willing to pay.
  2. Upgrade your plan. Pro+ 60 USD per month includes 70 USD of API usage, Ultra 200 USD per month includes 400 USD.

If on-demand isn’t enabled, requests will stop once you hit the limit.

You can check your current usage and reset date anytime at https://cursor.com/dashboard.
