Hey, this is a known bug. After an update, the sidebar sometimes doesn’t pick up existing chat sessions even though the files are still on disk. We’re tracking the issue, but I can’t share an ETA for a fix yet.
Good news: your data is most likely not lost. Please check this folder:
%USERPROFILE%\.cursor\projects\
Inside, you’ll see subfolders by namespace, which usually match your workspace paths. In each one, there should be an agent-transcripts/ folder with JSONL files. If those files are there, your history is still on disk, the UI just isn’t showing it.
A couple quick questions to improve the report:
Does the agent-transcripts/ folder exist, and does it contain files?
What’s your exact Cursor version? You can find it in Help → About or Cursor Settings → About. Your report includes a commit hash, but we also need the semantic version like 3.x.x.
