Hit rate limit after 1 claude request

I bought cursor about a week ago, and used claude 4 sonnet about 100 times per day, without ever hitting a rate limit. Today, I used claude-4-sonnet ONCE, and then on my second request, hit a rate limit.

What is going on?

Why do I suddenly hit a rate limit on a fresh new day, with ONE request?

Do new Pro users get a more (drastically) forgiving rate limit for the first week of their plan??

it’s a bug, try prompt again. Also, it’s so weird to say 100 times per day  I hit rate-limit in 20-30 reqs per day. If you dont want to use this, try legacy pro plan → in Dashboard → advanced → opt out (With old system you can pay 0.04$ per request and 500 reqs without rate limited)

Did you use Thinking modal? are you using opus with max mode?

no, only claude-4-sonnet

I’ve been facing the same issue for 5 days in a row. After just 2 requests, I hit the rate limit. Does anyone know when this limit resets? I keep getting a message saying 'You’ve spent ** this month and hit the limit

I am seeing the same issue, hitting rate limits with Sonnet 4 every other request. There supposed to be rate controls in Cursor. I am on tier 2 on Anthropic API with 1K RPM limit. I have tried to run the same requests through Claude Code and no issues there.
