Describe the Bug

Horizontal scrolling does not work in Cursor IDE when using the Logitech MX Master 3S mouse. The same functionality works perfectly in other applications, including Visual Studio Code, which Cursor IDE is based on.

When using the horizontal scroll wheel within the editor of Cursor IDE it seems the editor scrolls horizontally by ~1 character before stopping and no longer responding to horizontal scroll input for a few minutes.

Steps to Reproduce

Open Cursor IDE on Windows 11.
Use a Logitech MX Master 3S mouse.
Attempt to scroll horizontally using the mouse’s dedicated horizontal scroll wheel.
Observe that horizontal scrolling does not function in Cursor IDE.
Expected Behavior
The horizontal scroll functionality should work as it does in Visual Studio Code and other applications.

Actual Behaviour
Cursor IDE does not respond to horizontal scroll input from the Logitech MX Master 3S mouse.

Troubleshooting Steps Taken
Checked the forum to confirm this issue hasn’t been reported.
Verified that the Logitech Options software is updated and correctly configured.
Tested horizontal scrolling in multiple applications (VS Code, Chrome, etc.) to confirm the issue is specific to Cursor IDE.
Searched Cursor IDE’s settings but did not find any relevant configurations for horizontal scrolling.

Hey, I personally had this issue and found the Logitech app that accompanies the mouse (depends on which one you get) catches and blocks certain actions from reaching Cursor directly - see this thread below for more info:

Hey, managed to figure it out! The Logi Options+ app seems to block the back and forward command from ever reaching Cursor, but if you uninstall that, the buttons start working again immediately! If you still want the remapping capabilities, there are other (usually paid) apps available, like https://better-mouse.com/ which I’m testing myself as of 5 minutes ago.
