How can I require Cursor to ask for my approval before running commands?

Hello,

I remember initially Cursor used to explicitly ask for my approval before running any shell command or internet search. I didn’t change any setting that I’m aware of but at some point it just stopped asking for permission to run commands. It just runs them.

How can I revert to the original behavior: explicit approval for every shell command?

It sounds like you want to open Cursor Settings > Agents > Auto-Run and change Auto-Run Mode to Ask Every Time!
