How can I turn off trying to run commands in a terminal

Where is “Stop Asking. I have told you dozens of times you cannot run commands from a terminal. You are not running on the same machine where the code is being compiled and run”.

It ignores such advice in .cursorrules

All I get is “sorry, yes you do keep telling me that and I keep forgetting”

It would be OK if it waited until I told it the output but when I press Skip it starts doing something new

Hi there, currently there is no setting to turn off terminal in Agent mode. However in Custom modes you can select which tools are allowed to run, so you can get ALl features from Agent mode but just disable Run > Terminal there.

great, thanks.

also good I can tell it to stop trying to use grep!

why no findstr for windows ?

All you Mac boys forget about this retarded Redmond OS some of us are bullied into using.

Lol thats funny, Cursor is not just for MacOS users

Which commands are used depends to some level on the project, the terminal available but not on Cursors preferences.

You can tell Agent in Cursor to remember to not use terminal (same for grep)

The custom mode is just what I was looking for.
