How do I update Cursor to 43.5?

I have two Macbook Pros, an M3 and an M4. My m3 had some kind of update popup and I clicked it and it updated. My M4 doesn’t have that. There’s nowhere in the interface to “update” and the download on the home page of Cursor.com is 42.5.

Am I brain dead? Where’s the update?!

I also want to know this! I updated it to 0.43.5, but Avast antivirus caught a suspicious file and quarantined it. And I can’t get it back out of quarantine! It turns out the file is important for indexing.
So I went to the website and downloaded the available version, which is also 0.42.5. But now cant update it. “Cursor:Attempt update” call does nothing, so there is no way to update to 0.43.5.

What do we do to update?

What’s the “Cursor:Attempt update” call? I don’t even know what/where that is.

Press Ctrl+Shift+P in Cursor and you will see that as an option in the dropdown menu, it should ask for an update. but it doesn’t really work for me

hey, good news…on the website now I got 0.43.5! but forgot to turn off antivirus again arggghhh

On the mac it is command/shift/p and it shows cursor update but does nothing.

Ok now the download from the website is 43.5. Now I actually “see” a composer tab. Now we’ll see what works, what’s new, and what’s borked.

I literally just attempted update and did nothing, went to the website and downloaded 42.5. That’s why I dont see agents right? Wonder what’s wrong…

yeah, it really is weird that they put 0.42.5 back on the website download button again

Um… did you all not see what happened in the last 24 hrs in this forum?

All of us (including myself) kind of forced the cursor team to rollback to 0.42.5.

0.43.X broke many of our ecosystems. Just check the forum posts for the past 24 -48 hrs

No, I didn’t see. 42.5 wasn’t working very well for me.

Real question is how do I roll back?

What version do you need?

Sorry, how can I update to 43.5? 42.5 don’t work at all
