Hey, it might have been a temporary error, or your key might be incorrect. Try regenerating the key. I just checked, and it works.
Me using my own key do I have the context of 1m or will the cursor nerf it too?

Hey, you don’t have a Pro subscription, right? Okay, give me some time to check this.
RIght i don’t have pro but im using the custom model
@deanrie Still i’m getting the same issue and it’s after the cursor’s latest update

I checked this on both my free and paid plans, and it works, but not with all models. The Gemini models refuse to work, while the DeepSeek model does. I’ll see what can be done about this.
It seems I’ve figured out how to make this work. Try enabling these options in the OpenRouter settings, at least it helped me, and the Gemini model is working.
Ops sorry i just edited my previous response, please check it its still not working
Also, try restarting Cursor and creating a new chat. Also, check that your API key is enabled.

Not working please check these request IDs
When press on Add model it doesn’t work. You have to enter the model id and press “Enter”. Weird
Yes and even sometimes enter won’t work too.
You need to completely uninstall Cursor, including the registry associated content, then reinstall Cursor, and do not log in to your account at first, fill in your API information first, and then log in to your Cursor account
Thanks I’l try it.
I have the same problem. The curl command works if you use the correct openrouter model name. Cursor seems to check for “model”: “claude-3.7-sonnet” when it should be “model”: “anthropic/claude-3.7-sonnet”.
Error: (status code 400) {"error":{"message":"claude-3.7-sonnet is not a valid model ID","code":400},"user_id":"<redacted>"}
Could that be why I can’t enable my openrouter key? It says Invalid OpenAI API Key even though it clearly got a response validating my user_id (i.e. not “No auth credentials found”).
try to uncheck all of the non custom models provided by cursor and then try again.
