How to change the hover color in welcome page

I think the hover color is unreadable and I want to know if I can change it and how to achieve this.

Hey, thanks for the report.

Color customization for the welcome page isn’t directly supported via settings. It’s a built-in part of the UI and may not follow the standard theme tokens.

A few options:

  • Try switching your theme (Cmd/Ctrl+Shift+P > “Preferences: Color Theme”). Another theme might be more readable.
  • Try a dark theme if you’re currently using a light one. That can help with contrast.

Which theme are you using right now? And what version of Cursor are you on (Help > About)?

The team is aware of a similar issue with hover highlight in light themes, so your feedback is helpful.

Thanks for your response.

I know I can change the theme, but I think using light theme in the daylight is better for the eyes.

I am using theme Light (Visual Studio) and the version of Cursor is Version: 2.3.30(latest till 2025-01-09). Hope this issue could be improved.
