I’ve been trying to clean up my Cursor UI a bit, and I can’t find a way to remove or hide Background Agent from the mode picker (accessed via Cmd+.) or the sidebar. According to the docs:
• Background Agents are available via the sidebar tab, or via Cmd+E.
• The mode picker lets you switch between modes.
But I couldn’t find any documented setting or configuration for hiding specific modes (like Background Agent) from the mode picker.
This disrupts my flow of easy switching between Ask and Agent modes by pressing Cmd + .
Hey, unfortunately this mode can’t be removed because it’s part of the app. Earlier, when it was in beta, you could disable the background agent in Settings, but now that’s no longer possible.
It would be nice to provide such a customisation for the mode switcher. It is super convenient to switch between Agent and Ask modes by hitting one key combo and I’d like to keep it that way.
