Hello,
I would like to know how we can disable your tools so that I can freely intervene in the code without asking the AI to do it for me or using ⌘K.
This is a nightmare, thank you for your help.

Use ⌘I
The use of ⌘I doesn’t free up the document for free editing at all.
For me, it’s truly a waste of time.
I’m getting desperate, and since I can’t find a solution, I’m using two IDEs at the same time to be able to work freely. I’m sure the Cursor team has anticipated this possibility—there’s probably just a checkbox or a shortcut somewhere.
Not sure what you mean with ‘freely’. From what you describe just open any file in cursor and edit that file. Its a standard feature. You dont need to use Chat/AI to edit a file by yourself.
