How to get Gemini 2.5 in Cursor (Ask Mode only)

Working on windows 10 with latest version of cursor:

Cursor Settings → Models →

  • Add your google API key to settings (Google API Key input)
  • Ignore the error it gave you
  • Cursor Settings → Models → Manually Click " + add Model " and enter:

“gemini-2.5-pro-exp-03-25”

It’s built in now, no need for API.

Also works in edit. Even agent, but less optimal than sonnet.
