After having my plan forcibly changed and not being able to switch back to the old one, and after dealing with a lot of frustration and disappointment, I decided to cancel as soon as my subscription expired.
I’ve now moved to a Chinese competitor, and honestly, my workflow has never been smoother. I can code all day long without interruptions.
Sure, they apply token limitations — but it’s the model itself (Sonnet-4) that fetches the references intelligently. To keep things flowing and maintain quality, I also use Gemini, thanks to its larger context window. I use it to analyze and break down tasks, which I then send to Sonnet-4 just to execute — and that’s been working surprisingly well.
I constantly update my documentation with the current state of each module and create mini-tasks packed with context. Lately, I’ve solved coding problems using a single prompt several times in a row.
I can easily spend 10+ hours a day just vibing in code, testing and refining flows across three different SaaS projects I’m working on at once — so leaving Cursor honestly felt liberating.
To be clear, Cursor is still a great tool — especially for those who can afford it. Its quality is still superior to most options out there.
But until they improve their pricing (or until my SaaS projects start generating results ), I probably won’t be back anytime soon…
Well — maybe I’ll try Claude Code first.
