The IDE AI Chat panel text is not legible. Also tried the newest IDE 2.3 and that is not helping either. Its also the same problem when looking at *.txt files in the editor - not legible. I’ve been a heavy user for few months now. Switched to dark theme with new laptop. Im running out off options here. I checked all postings and I see that there is no resolution to this issue. Very frustrating. Im open now to suggestions to move to a different platform. Antigravity is not viable at this time. Ideas?
I found the solution. Im posting it here in case others have the same or similar problem.
Attached is the issue. Using a dark theme, all works fine except two things: 1) non language related files like a txt file (marked #1 in the image), and 2) the AI Chat panel is not legible (marked #2 in the image).
So the quickest solution is to change the language based settings of the file you are currently viewing on the IDE editor, in my case txt:
-open a *.txt file
-at the bottom right, click on the to open the language based settings for plaintext. At the bottom right, pick the ‘Select Language Mode”
-and on the top take “Configure Plaintext Lnaguage based settings”
In the Plaintext Language Settings, I just removed the entry on the Workbench.colorCustomizations as shown in the image below. After saving it, the text file is now clearly visible and the AI Chat is also clearly visible. So it looks like the AI Chat Panel takes on the color of the Plaintext language-based settings.

Yep, you’re right. The AI Chat panel inherits color settings from plaintext language-based settings, which can cause readability problems with custom workbench.colorCustomizations.
