Sometimes clicking the trash icon just opens up the chat context again, and it’s hard to delete multiple chat history as you easily miss click the trash icon. Could this possibly be improved in a later update. Would genuinely appreciate it. Even adding a dedicated screen for chat history would be superb where you can select multiple chat histories to delete etc. Almost like what Claude on the browser does.
Would also be stellar if the chat history search searched the contents not just the titles.. Always hard to find a previous chat where you know you were doing something but the title isn’t representative of that piece.
I feel like there needs to be more than just a rudimentary history list, but more of a history management tool. The list is great for quick searches (and yes, title + contents fuzzy/indexed), but there does seem to be a link between Cursor IDE performance and chat history size. I don’t want to delete all of my historical chats, I reference some over time as I work on long running features, or sometimes to figure out how I did something. However I don’t need them all, and a management tool to find, select and delete selections in bulk (especially if it could preserve selections ACROSS SEARCHES within the management tool!!!) would be wonderful.
Yea, it’s annoying. You have to avoid deleting the “current” chat until its the last one left, as it will then reset the current chat to whatever is next in line and close out the chat history pane at the same time.
