Include @docs be default on every prompt?

Is there a way to automatically reference custom docs without have to type @docs each time? Would be nice to be able to put references in our .cursorrules for this.

Any tips would be appreciated!

Hey, this is possible with our new Project Rules, where you can @ some files in the rules and the AI can read and use them in its responses.

Hey thanks. Although it doesn’t look like I can @ docs in the Project Rules? I can @ files but not docs.

Hmm, you should be able to. If you close and reopen Cursor, just to confirm it knows the docs are available, does that work?

If not, I’ll throw to the team!

@danperks I do not see a way to mention docs in the rules. On the latest version, after a restart. Maybe I’m doing it wrong? Should be easy to verify though… are you able to mention @ docs when you try?

Sorry, I was mistaken!

You can only @ files in your Project Rules.

We have a feature called Notepads, which allows you to @ rules, but I believe these may be removed soon in favor of Project Rules.

I’ll flag this to the team to see if it makes sense to add @docs to Project Rules!

Is there any update on this situation? This is becoming a real issue. Some projects really require the docs to be included in every prompt because claude-sonnet-3.7 is completely unfamiliar with certain libraries.
