Getting an error indexing my repo after upgrading Cursor version. Is there a way to downgrade to a previous Cursor version?
Hi @aubford,
What version of the Cursor do you have now, and which one would you like to go back to, and what’s your OS?
I’m on version 0.4.4. It was working on this machine maybe 2-3 weeks ago. What version would that have been? 0.4.3?
Oh, maybe. You can download version 0.40.3 from the following links:
Windows: https://downloader.cursor.sh/builds/240829epqamqp7h/windows/nsis/x64
Linux: https://downloader.cursor.sh/builds/240829epqamqp7h/linux/appImage/x64
MacOS Apple Silicon: https://downloader.cursor.sh/builds/240829epqamqp7h/mac/dmg/arm64
MacOS Intel: https://downloader.cursor.sh/builds/240829epqamqp7h/mac/dmg/x64
Thanks but that one also is broken. Is there somewhere I can see the version history/timeline? Github somewhere?
Maybe we should figure out the reasons first. Which project are you using? If it is too large, I think it is worth excluding unnecessary folders using .cursorignore

If you think that the problem is with the version of the program, you can try an older version, 0.39.x.

What’s your OS?
I’m on MacOs 14.5 on an M1 MacBook Pro.
That is an interesting point about the repo being too large. It is a very large repo however it was working correctly up until recently.
Has the max repo size decreased in the new version?
I don’t have that information.
I have same issue today, added to ignore
I am using window 10 Pro
OS: 19045.4780
Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.19060.1000.0
Check this now.
It seems to have been fixed already.
