Is Composer Broken?

I cannot get composer to run for the last 3 hours. It just thinks forever.
Chat works great and is super fast but composer does nothing.

I’ve cleared all of my composers, restarted Cursor, restarted my Macbook, swore at it a bunch times. I think one time it swore back at me.

Maybe it’s mad I was swearing at it?

Does composer have feelings? I’ll cut back on my swearing.

You made me laugh, maybe AI does have feelings, but it doesn’t get offended by swearing. Have you tried starting a new Composer session? Do the freezes occur there as well?

I’ve tried multiple sessions, deleting history, restarting Cursor, restarting Mackbook… sometimes it works, mostly it does not. This has only been an issue since this afternoon. I pay over 200/month for premium requests too. Really stinky!

I think I may be onto something…

I just got a notice that I was on slow requests and needed to buy more. I am on usage based pricing with plenty to spare.

I checked my account it said I had an unpaid bill. I logged into stripe and sent the payment of $20.01 instead of waiting for it to clear.

Now composer is running well again… for now.

It seems that as usage base pricing bills in $20 increments and when I get close to that amount, maybe like $18 or so, composer rapidly takes a turn for the worse.

As soon as I push my payment through on stripe, it starts functioning again.

I realized this days ago but didn’t think much about until having to do it again.

I’m glad you found the solution on your own.

I am using Sonnet but I have actually never looked at the DevTools panel or know how to access it.

You can open it from the command palette.

Ok, I just cleared my console and am actively running composer. Will post when I run into the issue again but composer is now running fine.

Like I said, as soon as I paid my “unpaid” that was still processing through stripe, is starting workin well again.
