I originally signed into Cursor with GitHub, through work. Through work, I have a business plan paid for by my company, and I have a business plan.
I want my Cursor GitHub account to be my personal account. I signed in with GitHub, I entered my credit card and it charged me for 1 month of the pro plan, but then on the next screen it says I have a business account. I cannot use my business account for personal use.
I paid $20 to use Cursor for personal use, yet I cannot. Nor can I find a way to edit my subscription so that I won’t be charged for future months that I cannot use.
Hi @kdaviduik ,
Can you please confirm this understanding is correct:
-
Your employer has a Cursor Business
plan
-
As such, you have access to Cursor through your employer’s Business
plan (linked to your work email address)
-
You signed up for Cursor Pro
plan using the same work email address
-
You were charged $20 for 1 month of the Pro
plan
-
However, when logged in at https://www.cursor.com/settings, it shows that you have a Business
account
-
You have a Business
plan (through your employer) and a Pro
plan (that you signed up for personally) and they are both linked to the same email address
-
You want to keep your Business
plan (through your employer - for work related usage) but also want to have a Pro
plan (for personal usage)
-
You want to keep using the same work email address for both your employer’s Business
plan and your personal Pro
plan
Hi @kdaviduik ,
I think the next step required is to:
https://forum.cursor.com/t/ive-been-charged-for-a-plan-i-cannot-use/20103
- Include:
- The email address associated with your GitHub account (that you signed up to the
Pro
plan with)
- The email address associated with your
Business
account (confirm what this is with your Employer first)
Hopefully the accounts team will be able to resolve the issue from there.
