Since yesterday Cursor lost ability to connect to remote server I am working with for last month.
Getting bunch of gibberish errors in terminal.
VS Code works just fine in the same setup.
This is Cursor 0.42.3 running in Windows 11 trying to connect to Ubuntu 24.04.
Again, VS Code editor in idential setup connects to remote Ubuntu just fine.
Please help.
This problem makes Cursor completely useless to me.

Solved. Some extension - including SSH Remote and only working in VS Code. So i uninstalled SSH Remote and installed “Open Remote - SSH” by jeanp413. This solved it.
I know I’m a bit late to the party, but…
How did you install The Open Remote - SSH extension, I cannot seem to find it
Please search for ssh in the extensions search box. You can use the Anysphere remote ssh extension.
