HI, I am on the legacy plan consisting of 500 requests per month. On a personal account, not enterprise.
For most models now it is showing “Max Mode Required” e.g. “The model “claude-opus-4-8-thinking-medium” requires Max Mode to be enabled. Please enable Max Mode and try again.”
This was working just a few hours ago. Has there been another undocumented ‘pricing’ change or is this a bug?
Same here. It seems like you need the max plan for any Claude model. so sad
There was no prior notification before the change from unlimited requests to 500 requests, and now it’s been quietly changed again.
The Cursor team should have basic respect for users.
max mode is so unnecessary, they forced this on team/enterprise months ago, its just a way for them to drain more tokens, I pay for pricing outside of the plan and max mode literally has zero difference in out come but you pay 50x more
