Livecheck: check whether a job or product link is still open or active before your agent applies

I built a small agent skill and API. Upfront: paid API ($0.01 per check), free starter key and no wallet needed for builders.

  • What it does:

    • One specific job posting URL in, page read at call time.
    • Returns live, closed or unknown (“can’t tell”), with title and evidence: 404/410, redirect back to the board, closed banner. The public job-board feed for Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby and Workday is a supporting signal.
    • Also routes for product listings and any other specific URL.
    • Doesn’t get past bot checks → “can’t tell”. LinkedIn isn’t supported.
  • What the skill adds: tells the agent when to check: right before tailoring a resume, applying or sending outreach, and when cleaning a list of scraped job links (keep live, drop closed, flag can’t tell).

  • Install:

npx skills add moyecj-snap/livecheck-skills --all --yes

  • MCP setup uses an agentcash wallet; the starter key is for plain HTTP.

  • Try it free: Sign in with GitHub at livecheck.fly.dev/keys for 200 free checks, no wallet needed.

    • Tracked link Try one link in your browser, no signup and post the /job after it. Is this job still open? — Livecheck
    • Send Authorization: Bearer <key> on POST /v1/verify/job, /v1/verify/listing or /v1/verify.
    • GitHub account 7+ days old, one key per account, lasts 30 days. Confirm, Sentinel and /check still need a wallet.
  • Accuracy: In our own Nov 1 test of 18 job postings on Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby and Workday, Livecheck got all 18 right. LinkedIn isn’t supported.

  • Feedback ask: especially from anyone building an apply or outreach agent in Cursor. Does the skill trigger at the right moments, or does it check too often?
