I was accidentally on max mode for a while, like an entire day, and it did not clearly show anywhere.
I’m pretty sure I also didn’t enable it but I guess I accidentally selected it.
Costed me way too much money without me realizing, and with claude 4.5 sonnet 1 message alone easily costs you $5+

Hey, thanks for the feedback. I understand your frustration, accidental high-cost usage is definitely a concern.
Right now, Max Mode appears in the model picker dropdown in Chat/Agent. I get that it’s easy to miss if you’re not checking it every time.
I’ll pass this to the team as a UX improvement request, making the active Max Mode status more visible would help prevent unexpected costs. What would be most helpful for you: a persistent in-chat indicator (like before) or a warning when enabling it?
In the meantime, you can check the model picker to confirm whether Max Mode is enabled.
It just showing in the chat like before would probably be best
