Since Manual Mode was removed and then added back, it’s been broken for inline edits. To apply inline edits now, I have to use a Custom Mode — but in Custom Mode, the only option is “Edit and Re-apply”.
That means a single change becomes an endless loop of changes being re-applied over and over. This agentic, constant-iteration behaviour is exactly what I’m trying to avoid. I just want a mode that:

Runs once

Applies the changes

Stops
A proper tool to augment developer ability rather than trying to “replace” it. The current design is beyond frustrating, wastes time, and removes control from the user.
Please bring back a mode that supports single-run, inline edits, using context I specifically provide without forcing repeated, unwanted re-application.
Please for an update focus on fixing bugs and polishing the UX.
