Markdown files broken behavior on 2.4.22

Describe the Bug

On 2.4.22 markdown files are broken, cannot see as raw markdown, and preview and markdown buttons on top right behave weird, pressing markdown takes you to the main readme file only. In addition accepting or rejecting files or lines is not even shown for md files at all. How to disable this feature? How to revert to something that doesn’t have this feature?

Steps to Reproduce

Write an markdown file with md extension other than README.md to see this weird behavior, cannot see markdown raw at all unless file is called README.md. Hitting Preview or Markdown buttons takes you to README.md. Also cannot see undo/keep file for markdown files unless is README.md. I am having to read my md files in another editor.

Expected Behavior

See raw md, unless used vscode preview button same as it has always worked. See undo file keep file on md files.

Does this stop you from using Cursor

No - Cursor works, but with this issue working with md files is PITA! I am having to use another editor to edit md files.

Hey @TheFern2!

Super weird – the markdown editor you’re seeing should be feature flagged and not generally available (as you’ve noted, it’s a… work in progress).

Are you still seeing that today if you reopen Cursor? I’ve checked the backend config, and you shouldn’t be seeing it anymore.
