MCP Server Configured Correctly but Shows "No tools available" and "No resources available"

Hi everyone,

I’m having trouble configuring an MCP server. Despite the configuration appearing correct, Cursor still shows “No tools available” and “No resources available”.

Attempted Solutions

  1. Manually ran the batch file, and the server started successfully with the message Hot news MCP server running on stdio.

  2. Cleared Cursor’s cache (deleted .cursor/cache and .cursor/logs folders).

  3. Checked Cursor’s Output Panel, but no obvious error messages were found.

  4. Ensured Node.js and npm are correctly installed (node -v and npm -v both work fine).

Issue Description

Despite the correct configuration and the server running normally in the terminal, Cursor still fails to load tools and displays “No tools available” and “No resources available”. I’m using Cursor version 0.45.11.

Are there any other potential causes for this issue? Are there additional debugging methods or solutions I can try? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
