Model reverts to GPT when changing to Agent mode

Describe the Bug

When switching from Agent to Ask then back to Agent mode, the model always changes to GPT-5 regardless of which model was previously selected

Steps to Reproduce

1. Select Auto and Agent mode
2. Select Ask mode
3. Agent is still set to Auto mode
4. Switch back to Auto mode
5. Model changes from Auto to GPT-5

Further tests show that whichever model is selected at step 1, the model always switches to GPT-5 when returning from Ask to Agent mode

Expected Behavior

Model should not change when switching from Ask to Agent

Additional Information

This is a problem because the change between models occurs without any notification causing the incorrect model to be used and unexpected charges.

For example, for GPT-5 I have 14,905,477 total tokens charged at US$7.76 when I did not select GPT-5

No - Cursor works, but with this issue

Hey, thanks for the report. Most likely, you have the default model set for agent mode. Could you please check?
