Models that cannot be used in slow mode should not be listed as options when you are in slow mode

Describe the Bug

I used all my fast requests, and every time I turn off auto mode cursor defaults me to claude-4-sonnet, and then tells me I’m not allowed to use it when I try to use it. Since there’s no indication which models are and aren’t available I need to just keep trying different ones until one accepts a query.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Use all your fast requests
  2. Turn auto on, then turn it off
The model defaults to claude-4-sonnet, and all enabled models are listed whether you’re allowed to use them or not.

Expected Behavior

Unavailable models should be disabled or unselectable

Does this stop you from using Cursor

No - Cursor works, but with this issue

I totally agree with this. Even after using up all my premium (fast) requests, claude-4-sonnet still appears as if it’s available, which is really confusing. It gives the impression that I can still use it when I actually can’t. I really hope this gets fixed.

Not only that, but it highlights that the unavailable claude models are ‘cheaper’ than the others at 0.5 and 0.75 requests each, which you’d think would translate to them being the ones you should use.
