Describe the Bug

I am having multiple bugs
First is sometimes the tab click stops working, and it just adds a space instead of auto-complete
Second is that the AI sometimes stops, like when you click send, it keeps loading with nothing answered.
Third: usage each time shows a different usage rate, so to fix all these, I need to exit and then open it again

Steps to Reproduce

So the tab, when there are AI edits on the file, sometimes there are not, and it keeps not working
The AI is not answering. I don’t know
the usage, I don’t either

Hey, thanks for the report. Looks like you’re hitting a few issues at once, so let’s go through them one by one.

We need some diagnostic info:

  1. Chat loading issue: Next time the AI gets stuck while sending, right-click the chat (top-right context menu) > Copy Request ID, then paste it here. This helps us see what went wrong on the backend.

  2. Extensions check: Press CTRL + Shift + P > Developer: Open Extension Monitor, then check which extensions are using resources. If something heavy is running, try starting Cursor with cursor --disable-extensions and see if the bugs still happen.

  3. Usage counter: Can you share a screenshot showing how it displays “different values”? Is this about the usage numbers in the IDE or on the web dashboard?

  4. Tab issue: Try to reproduce it and describe it a bit more. Does it only happen after the AI edits a file, or can it happen anytime? Which file types does it affect?

Quick test: Go to Settings > Network > Run Diagnostics. If you see errors there, that could explain why the AI is getting stuck.

Send over that info and we’ll see what we can do.
