Hey, this isn’t a bug. It’s due to regional restrictions.
Anthropic (Claude), OpenAI (GPT), and Google (Gemini) block API access from some regions, so those models don’t show up in Cursor settings. This limit is set by the model providers, not Cursor.
What you can do:
- Use Auto mode: it will automatically pick the best model available in your region.
- Use available models directly: Composer, Grok, DeepSeek, and similar models work fine.
- Use your own API key: in Cursor go to Settings > Models and add your provider key. Note: the provider can still block your region even if you use your own key.
