it auto-flagged it as a ‘billing issue’ and shadowbanned it(you can see there’s 1 minute difference from post creation to system reaction), republish it without using dashboard screenshoot and words like ‘uses’, phrase it differently, then remove that topic and this one to help de-clutter the forum
If it was wrongly shadowbanned as a billing issue (I don’t think it is a billing issue), shouldn’t the mods/admins fix the post manually? And if it happens a lot, fix the bot?
@Kirai please avoid double posting as this just creates more posts to read for users and for moderators. I can ensure you that the Cursor Team is daily reading the forum and answering questions almost all day.
What do you mean? I posted the original question about pricing and uses, about unprofessional actions of Cursor team, since they should let monthly subs finish and yearly subs should get an option - refund of remaining months or accept new pricing. Not automatically forcing, possibly illegally, new pricing on all users (then randomly increasing number of uses of a user, despite user’s not being at that time in the 500 per month pricing).
And this post is entirely different - it is a bug report of Cursor’s forum/bot. Also any shadowbanning is viewed negatively (manipulative behaviour) and if Cursor ever wants to improve their reputation, they shouldn’t censor names of companies (forcing people to use stupid workarounds like “water and chinese competitors”), delete, shadowban and ban on their forum for comparisons with other platforms/services and any critique of their service, communication (lack of) etc. Same with reddit. You can’t silence people anyway, on the reddit they just complain more (original problem + deleting complains and critique) in subs like ChatGPTCoding, or other platforms like X.

Hey, just to clear this up, it was hidden as it was flagged as a billing issue - we do this to ensure peoples personal billing information (cards, email address, etc) do not end up in public posts.
I have unhidden the post now, so it will be visible as expected!
And, to nobody’s surprise, you shadowbanned this thread too.
Edit: I don’t trust you.
Not going to renew my sub unless I can see from reliable impartial sources the new pricing is better and doesn’t cripple use cases like 2 weeks not using cursor and then in few days using for example 150 of sonnet 4 as agent. If Cursor becomes as useless as ClaudeAI’s pro, where with higher context you get like 3-5 responses and then wait for many hours (5?) for a reset, then Cursor, at least for me, would not be worth the money.
Thanks for the feedback, some moderation is necessary and expected by forum users.
Very often forum users flag topics/comments or ask that certain negative behaviors are better managed, to have a positive forum and want not to see undesireable posts.
Ok sure, feedback about Cursor forum bot is good. It has been tweaked several times and we may have to look again at some cases. I assume ‘you’ refers here to the bot again.
No, I mean Cursor staff, because the bot didn’t write in this thread.
to have a positive forum and want not to see undesireable posts.
That is highly unprofessional - so you in order to have “more positive” forum, you are deleting and shadowbanning posts from your current or past users? You will just damage your reputation as a company which doesn’t listen to users and deletes not only critique but also questions about their service, since Cursor I guess didn’t like the answer they would had to give.
Sorry but you are taking things the wrong way, out of context and oversimplifying.
Its clear you sound upset and I accept your feedback.
Happy to talk in a constructive way.
What other way is there? You have shadowbanned a post reporting shadowbans… By You, I mean the Cursor staff or their automated tools, doesn’t really matter, since that o4-mini pricing thread was months old and apparently nothing changed.
Archived the thread, I guess I am heading to X or reddit, because here is too much “moderation”, more like manipulation with of abuse of power… I didn’t want to believe that one user on reddit, that moderators on official forum changed his answer, his post about timeouts of generations in cursor, appended something like “it is solved”. But after seeing how unprofessionally changes are rolled out and how the forum is handled, yeah, I could see that happening.
