The new “Customize” screen has taken a perfectly good flat menu system, and turned it into a hostile multiple click mess that has lost the previous functionality.
It also applied this update without our permission or consent - but that’s a different issue.

Steps to Reproduce

Try to view which tools and MCP servers are active and available, on one page

Expected Behavior

Used to work on the “MCP” page, now there’s no way to do this anymore - requires dozens of clicks and scrolling all over the place to see tiny bits at once, with subtle shading where we used to have on/off buttons etc.

3.11 and 3.12 and more - this was rolled out to all users, not version related!

Additional Information

Please revert to the older display, so we can see all MCPs on one screen (without hiding them behind any “Show N more” button), and listing the tools on each of them on that same 1 page.

Does this stop you from using Cursor

Sometimes - I can sometimes use Cursor

beforeShellExecution hooks no longer show colorized Allow vs Ask output in the thumbnail, so you can see at a glance the hook’s final decision. Now you have to click to see the Output json.

Also, if your settings window is too small, you can’t see the Hooks tab, and you can’t scroll on that tab bar, so there’s no way to access hooks other than knowing to use a wider width.

Terrible UIUX update.
