New pro plan and max mode

in the new pro plan, do i get any extra billings if i have max mode on ( and usage-based pricing is off ) ? also what happens after my quota ends? like it as 500 requests back then, now it does not show it in the dashboard, so what is the limit now?

Hi @hossammenem and welcome to Cursor Forum.

The new pricing has been anounced on the website and in the forum. Its pinned on the main page of forum.

There is no limit of 500 fast requests anymore, no fast/slow queue but unlimited monthly requests and a rate limit applies. There are no limits on tool call usage.

Max is included and all models as well. With Max you may reach rate limits earlier than with regular models as Max consumes more tokens. Same applies with more top of the line models.

With usage based pricing off there should be no additional charges.

Can you double confirm this? On Cursor it says MAX and Opus are billed at API pricing.

Hi @eggplant Max and Opus are included in all plans, however note that ā€˜heavierā€™ usage like Max or Opus consumes more of the rate limit.

Once you reach the rate limit you could:

  • Switch to another model / turn off Max
  • Switch to Usage Based Pricing to continue above rate limit
  • Wait until rate limit resets.

Iā€™m also very curious about this. Inside the IDE, it shows ā€œBilled at API pricingā€ under the MAX mode, which is quite confusing. Does this mean weā€™ll be billed later? Or, if weā€™re on the PRO plan and use MAX, does it really mean thereā€™s no additional charge beyond the usage limit?

Yes Iā€™ve used max once or twice for fun no charge.

Hi Good morning. Im not understanding the new Pro Plan.

With Pro Plan. Activating MAX mode stills costs extra money $ right? It is not included in the Pro Plan

With the Ultra Plan. MAX mode it is included or i need to pay extra $ for using MAX mode?

no, its still in max mode only.
