"New update available" clashes with Agent "Plan" dropdown menu - can't click until updated

Where does the bug appear (feature/product)?

Describe the Bug

It’s nice that Cursor tells us “New update available”. however, it’s not so nice that this popup modal is in front of being able to set Agent to Plan mode or any other mode

Steps to Reproduce

Have an update
try to click to set Agent to Plan mode.

Expected Behavior

can continue using, until want to update

Thanks for reporting this.

Would clicking “Later” work for you? You can always go trigger the update again using Cursor > Check for Updates.

sure, clicking “Later” does work. I’ll use that from now on. it still feels a bit like the Restart to Update could be so that it isn’t transgressing on chat area
