I am not able to use the App for 2 days, and yet I am on a Pro tier. I have restarted many time still no luck, anyone having the same experience?
Hi @Gedeza
Are you using a VPN, Zscaler, firewall, or any other software that could be blocking your connection?
Nop, everything was ok until I missed my sub payment but now I have made the payment. At first it reported billing problem and then now it not but still the app is very slow and now model is responding
If everything looks fine, try reinstalling Cursor, in 99% of cases, that helps. The process is described here:
I met the similar problem, it always says “Generating…” but never return.
How did you solve the problem?
Is everything good for you now? We didn’t see anything on our end regarding connection issues – could it be a VPN/internet issue as deanrie mentioned?
Hey Luke,
Thanks for reaching out! Nop nothing has changed. Cursor keep generating forever I have done everything except for uninstalling and reinstall, I guess I am going to uninstall and reinstall unless there is something I may not be aware of
Ok let me know if that works.
My problem was gone after I upgraded the cursor to the latest version and restarted it and switched the models several times. Not sure it is related.
That you @hobbytp for sharing, it is clear that I have to re-install.
Thank you!!!
Hey Luke,
nothing works bro, I un-installed and reinstalled the billing problem came to effect. There is no issue withing my account online, the profile still shows Cursor Pro. Please check right at the bottom left
I met the problem again. COMPOSER keeps “Generating…” but CHAT can work correctly. No any VPN in my env. The model I used is claude-3.5-sonnet for CHAT.
It is frustrating bro, I am concerned the Cursor support hasn’t responded to sort the issue. Did you get any help?
the same here.
could i ask what version of cursor you’re on? is this issue for all cursor features or only specific to chat / composer?
My cursor version is 0.42.2, VSCode is 1.93.1, issue is only in composor, chat works correctly.

Just sent you an email with a meeting link to debug if you have 5 minutes.
each time I click “Submit” in composer, I found the following error log in “Cursor Git Graph” output window.
[error] Failed to get cached related files... falling back to uncached No indexer found for file. Maybe not inside a git repo?
but all my code files are in the git repo
I try to “Delete Index” and then “Resync Index” again, the error still there.
I also try enable or disable “Git Graph file relationships”, but it can not help.
I also see the following error even I disabled “Git Graph file relationships”,
[error] Failed to check if git graph is enabled [aborted] read ECONNRESET
My cursor version is also 0.42.2, issue is in composer and also on the account with a billing issue reported by the app, strangely the account is up to date.
I am on the MacOS Sonoma 14.5
