Thank you @deanrie . I restarted Cursor then my MacbookPro, but the issue is not yet resolved, I have tried switching to other grok models but got the same issue. Cursor is well working with Sonnet4. Please find attached the failed operations using the available Grok models and the passed one with Sonnet. Thanks for your help
Is this happening in a new chat, or has your chat been around for a while? Could you also share the request ID? To do that, you’ll need to turn off Privacy Mode.
Are you using MCP servers? Some of them can interfere with the model’s work. It’s possible you disabled some of them and the model started working. In any case, next time try disabling them, in about 80% of cases the issue is with them.
Yes, I have some MCP servers with more than 80 tokens used to connect to figma, jira gitlab…etc. I disabled some of them and kept only the needed ones before running my prompt. As you said, may be this is the root cause of the issue. But with the same tools MCP, claude / GPT5 are working, is it related to the Grok4 model itself?
I reproduced the issue @deanrie, when i have more than 99tools enabled from my MCP servers, the model is not responding. When I disable some of them to have limited tools, it works. I don’t know which MCP server causes the issue.
Please find attached the enabled MCP servers where the Grok4 model is blocked:
