No student discount for Latin America

So I’m from Colombia and I go to university. I got the opportunity to claim the so much desired student discount which got me the Pro plan for a year and immediately told my classmates to also claim it, as I’ve been mentoring a lot of them in programming and just a couple of days ago one of those friends told me Cursor removed complete support for this discount on all Latin American countries. This is an awful move by Cursor in my opinion, meaning no other student who wants to get this discount will be able to just because they felt like it. Here are proofs that show the student discount page from Wayback Machine from around May 6th or so:

And here’s the current page:

I don’t know about you, but this felt disgusting because I use Cursor every day and been recommending it to everyone I’ve mentored and people who are just programmer friends. What do you guys think about this?

Good point.

To add to this, I must say that despite being a student at one of the whitelisted countries (South Africa, Stellenbosch University) the student discount has been desk rejected by an AI bot since the email ID does not end with .edu.

Perhaps the FAQ should be clear that the program is only of students in US universities.

I think the program is only of students in US universities. I’m from Vietnam and I got accepted as soon as Student Plan was released a few months ago and they immediately closed it ;>
