I wrote some notes in the notepads, then on close (save workspace) and reopen they are gone. How can I recover them? (Cursor Notepad disappeared? doesn’t have an answer)

I just quickly saved it three dirs deep in my project.
when I click “Open workspace” since it auto detects it’s a workspace, it opens in a new window and the notepads are gone. 
can I find them somewhere in my filesystem?
Since you created your notepads before saving the workspace, I would assume that if you reopen your project not as a workspace, your notepads should be there.
I tried both before writing this bug report. I should have mentioned that.
I have two <my_project_name> options in my recent projects, one with ‘(workspace)’ and one without, and neither contains my important notepads.
