On MacOS, enter password for [remote] dialogue spikes CPU

Where does the bug appear (feature/product)?

Cursor IDE

Describe the Bug

When connecting to a remote, the “Enter password for [remote]” entry field pops up. If I then don’t enter a password and just leave Cursor in this state, even in the background, CPU usage spikes, the Mac very quickly heats up. Same thing happens with this waiting for confirmation dialogue in the AI chat:

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Connect to a remote that needs a password
  2. Wait

Operating System

MacOS
