Can’t seem to find this one or maybe just not there, but it seems like it can be done.
Is there a way to make it default that when a Plan is being created to not show in the Editor. I don’t want to watch it create it, would just prefer to read the whole thing once complete. The thing is, the majority of the time it shows up, but then other times it just does it in the background?
Running Windows.
Also, is there a list of config items or docs around what can be set - for example, I was reading another post about disabling the GPU.
Right now there isn’t a setting to disable the plan from automatically showing in the editor while it’s being created in Plan Mode. Plans open automatically as ephemeral files, so you can view and edit them during the process.
After the plan is created, you can save it to .cursor/plans/ using the Save to workspace button for later viewing.
About the inconsistent behavior, sometimes it shows, sometimes it stays in the background, could you share:
Your Cursor version (Help > About)
Steps to reproduce, what exactly you do when the plan shows vs when it doesn’t
This will help us figure out if this is expected behavior or a bug.
For the settings list, all official docs are here: Cursor Docs
Unfortunately I can’t even reproduce it - and not even sure which model was in use. It is very random and think it is based on what I prompt it. Will try and see if I can do it again by being very specific.
And thanks for the info on the other settings as well.
